SciStarter LIVE is an informal web series, where we go LIVE and work through a citizen science project. You’ll have opportunities to hear from project leaders, get your questions answered, hang out with the SciStarter team and more. Just join us on Zoom or watch the live stream on SciStarter’s Facebook page. All events are recorded and shared with registrants after the event. Scroll down to see our upcoming events and recordings from past weeks.
Tune in on Tuesdays from 2-3pm Eastern!

Upcoming SciStarter LIVE dates
November 12th at 6pm ET – Wild Hope, Wildlife Corridors, and Citizen Science Join HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and SciStarter for an exciting SciStarter LIVE Wild Hope webinar focused on wildlife corridors and their essential role in supporting biodiversity. Learn how citizen scientists and experts are working together to identify and protect these vital pathways, and how you can get involved in conservation efforts.
November 19th – Leave No Trace announces the 2025 #LeaveNoTrash University Challenge! Join us to learn about the movement, what the data from last year can tell us, and prepare to get involved this April 2025 (Citizen Science Month!).
Make Sourdough for Science (and Thanksgiving!) – Start >14 days before making the bread! Last year, SciStarter LIVE host Emma and Guest Chef Alex showed how to make sourdough bread for Thanksgiving. To get your sourdough starter ready and gather all the scientific data, you’ll need to start at least two weeks in advance—so early November is the perfect time to begin. Watch our SciStarter LIVE cooking show episode to learn how to get started!

Preparing for the event
You don’t have to prepare anything to attend a SciStarter LIVE event, just come as you are! But to make the most of your experience, we recommend signing up and logging in to your SciStarter account.
Just getting started? Watch our two-minute video on How to make a SciStarter account:
We also recommend trying out the project(s) that will be featured that week. That way, if you run into any snags, need any help or just have fun questions for the project leaders in attendance, you’ll be ready! You’ll find details about the featured projects once we’re closer to the event.
