SciStarter (SciStarter.org) is engaged in a large corporate employee volunteer program to introduce employees to citizen science through online and in-person events across the country and to train and engage them in a number of SciStarter affiliate projects (see SciStarter.org/API to learn more about affiliates).
For this program, we are seeking local partners to collaborate with us to engage volunteers (including between 5-30 corporate employees) in citizen science training and projects in April 2020 (Global Citizen Science Month).
Specifically, we are seeking event partners in the following locations:

Massachusetts: Lowell, Boston
Florida: Tampa, Temple Terrace
Maryland: Silver Spring, Hanover
North Carolina: Cary, Charlotte
Georgia: Alpharetta, Atlanta
South Carolina: Greenville, Elgin
Illinois: Chicago, Downers Grove
Ohio: Hilliard, Columbus
Arizona: Chandler
Tennessee: Murfreesboro
Colorado: Colorado Springs, Lone Tree
Michigan: Southfield, Saginaw
Oklahoma: Tulsa
Washington: Bellevue
Utah: West Valley City
We will provide resources and supporting materials as needed including a Citizen Science Program in a Box, step-by-step instructions and supporting materials for affiliate projects, live, online support, marketing/promotions, event registration and RSVP management, and an estimated 5-30 volunteers/citizen scientists employees per event. These events can be open to anyone, in addition to the corporate employees. Note: If you are hosting a City Nature Challenge in any of the locations, above, and you are seeking additional participants, this opportunity may dovetail nicely since iNaturalist is one of the SciStarter affiliate projects.
For some, this may provide a turnkey event for your organization (library, museum, nature center, university, community center, etc) to celebrate Citizen Science Month, access related resources and support, and expand your audiences to include new citizen scientists.

Please provide an event date (tentative or confirmed), time, and address of the venue. The events should run between one and two hours.
Of course everyone is encouraged to celebrate Global Citizen Science Month and SciStarter, the Citizen Science Association, and the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University are providing many resources and networking opportunities to support programs and events around the world.
