SciStarter’s Foundations of Citizen Science self-guided training module now has a level two! With Building Data Literacy Through Community and Citizen Science, you’ll find an approachable introduction to data. What kinds of data do scientists collect and what do they do with it? And how can we better understand the data we encounter in our day-to-day lives? Find out here!
Our foundational training series also includes a special module for librarians. With Libraries as Community Hubs for Citizen Science librarians will discover why and how to turn libraries into community hubs for citizen science, and earn professional development credits from the Medical Library Association.
¿Hablas español? Our Observing Pollinators resource page now has Spanish-language options including a teacher’s guide, printable “color and learn” sheets, worksheets and more.
With Science Near Me, you can find all sorts of ways to engage in science! Whether you’re a kid or an adult, you’ll find fun opportunities to do all sorts of cool stuff, both online and in person. Explore the night sky, take part in a nature walk, learn new coding skills, check out a science festival and more! Log in using your SciStarter account.
If you haven’t done it already, we recommend jump-starting your journey as a citizen scientist with our short training: Foundations of Citizen Science.
