Benjamin Franklin was a citizen scientist who crowdsourced his curiosity about the natural world to help answer questions about the Gulf Stream, the distance between planets and more.
In celebration of the upcoming Ken Burns PBS documentary BEN FRANKLIN, we’re partnering with PBS Books, PBS NewsHour, and the Student Reporting Labs to highlight ways Franklin and modern day citizen scientists are advancing important research.
